SP Break 3008 is a barren world with no overt population, government, or law level.
- This world could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so...
- It lies within the Solomani Preserve Break Worlds region in the Stasis Tail Subsector of Thaku Fung Sector.
- The Solomani Preserve forbids settlement within this system.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
SP Break 3008 has a solitary primary star. Primary
Type Category Mass (Sol) Temperature (K) Luminosity M3 V Main Sequence (Dwarf) 0.37 3270 - 3430 0.03081 Unit Diameter Safe Distance Habitable Zone Jump Shadow M-Drive Limit AU 0.0034 0.0146 0.18 - 0.35 0.34 3.4 Orbit # * * 0 1 5 Remarks Flare Star.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x5 secondary rocky worlds.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
SP Break 3008 is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
SP Break 3008 has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Over billions of years, stellar flares thrown off by the primary have stripped away much of the world's atmosphere.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
SP Break 3008 has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Primitive radiation-tolerant native life occupying a wide range of ecological niches. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
This is a barren world with no technology, government, culture, et cetera. There being no population, there is no law, save for the Solomani Preserve stopping all who attempt to colonize this world. Brief visits, such as for travellers to stretch their legs, are allowed so long as nothing is left behind.
The system's star experiences occasional bouts of flare activity, which causes interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.
- During major outbursts of flare activity radiation levels within the system are dangerously high.
- Exposure to elevated radiation levels causes serious health issues and may damage unshielded electronic devices.
World Starport (St)[edit]
SP Break 3008 does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
World Population (P)[edit]
SP Break 3008 is a Barren World with no sophont population. It may still possess lifeforms.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
SP Break 3008 possesses a Tech Level of TL–0.
- The world has no technological base.
World Government (G)[edit]
SP Break 3008 has no government or ruling authority of any kind.
World Law (L)[edit]
SP Break 3008 has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: -3 (very unimportant)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 9 (moderate)
- Labor: 0 (unpopulated)
- Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
- Efficiency: -5 (extremely poor)
World Culture[edit]
- Heterogenity: 0 (none)
- Acceptance: 0 (none)
- Strangeness: 0 (none)
- Symbols: 0 (none)
World Timeline[edit]
Major events that have affected this world and the wider region that it lies within:
- -9235: to rimward the Vilani discover jump drive technology. Over the centuries pioneers and settlers gradually spread across the core regions of Charted Space.
- -4045 to -2204: the Ziru Sirka controls vast territories.
- -3810: the Vargr discover jump technology and begin an era of expansion.
- -3700s onwards: waves of Vargr settle worlds across the Extents. Due to its vast distance from the core regions few Vargr ever reached the sector.
- -2431: Terrans discover jump drive technology.
- -2404 to -2215: the Interstellar Wars. The young Terran Confederation battles against and ultimately triumphs over the ancient Vilani Ziru Sirka.
- -2204 to -1776: the Rule of Man administers the former Ziru Sirka.
- -1862 to -1110: the Terran Mercantile Community controls the former territory of the Terran Confederation.
- -1776 to 0: the Long Night. There is widespread regression and some worlds become barren.
- circa -1700: Vargr expansion and settlement gradually ceases.
- -1690: Solomani colonists depart Terran space.
- -1685: the Solomani Preserve is founded.
- circa -200: Vargr expansion increases, with a few worlds being settled within the subsectors along the sector's rimward fringe. The Break Worlds region is more stringently enforced.
- The Year 0: far to rimward, the Third Imperium is founded.
- 300-420: the Imperial First Survey charts the system.
- 995-1065: the Imperial Second Survey charts the system.
- circa 1040: the Empress Wave, believed to be a bizarre, massive jumpspace anomaly, enters the coreward edge of the sector.
It travels at around 1 parsec per year in a rimward direction, leaving a wake of disruption and chaos as it passes. - 1065: the Second Survey is published.
- circa 1080: the Empress Wave exits the rimward edge of the sector.
