A Tank Destroyer is a military vehicle with a mission to destroy enemy tanks on the battlefield.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

An Tank Destroyer is a military vehicle with a mission to destroy enemy tanks on the battlefield. It may be a type of Armored Fighting Vehicle.

The Vehicles are either aimed at being able to withstand the rigors of interstellar war or the expected level of warfare on a specific local planet. These result in very different requirements sets regarding levels of protection; of information management; and of firepower. These vehicles may be designed to engage with Tanks directly or do so stealthily relying on speed to avoid retaliation.

The need for speed of escape means that this role can be undertaken by Aircraft.
