Worlds & Sectors (Astrography)[edit]
Dagudashaag Sector[edit]
There is speculation that Sternmetal has made overtures to the subsector government for the purchase of Miagrathe in the Adele system, and has sent a number of hopefuls to the planet in search of valuable ores.
Deneb Sector[edit]
As a major player in the mining and manufacturing sectors, Sternmetal was one of the original heavy investors in Deneb Sector. Its power generation and food production equipment is in use on a great many worlds, with the company's research division finding innovative ways to make otherwise inedible substances palatable and nutritious. Within Deneb, Sternmetal has a reputation for hard-nosed business practices, and is believed to put living conditions far below profit on its many mining installations.
- Sternmetal Horizons has several mining concessions on Canisus.
Gateway Sector[edit]
Sternmetal is the only Imperial concern to make much of an impact in the Trindel Confederacy.
Ley Sector[edit]
Titanstorm Mobile is a subsidiary of Sternmetal Horizons specializing in personal transport vehicles with distribution throughout the Titanstorm Subsector.
Reaver's Deep Sector[edit]
Sternmetal has a regional headquarters on St. George and wholly owns Inura, a poor hellworld in Urlaqqash Subsector. Sternmetal facilities are found on Diablo and Tashrakaar. The corporation has a perpetual lease to manage the independent world of Luushakaan and recently obtained a license to explore diamond mining sites on MacBeth. Sternmetal owns Far-Star Mining Equipment, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary with corporate offices on Caledon.
Reft Sector[edit]
Sternmetal tends to do things on a large scale, and does not consider the Islands Cluster to be worth investment. Its presence there is minimal, restricted to a few executives keeping an eye on the activities of other commercial concerns.
- In Imperial space, Sternmetal is in dispute with the government of Grudovo over its desire to establish a mining outpost on their world.
Spinward Marches Sector[edit]
- The world of Stern-Stern is mined by Sternmetal Automation, a joint operation of Sternmetal and Naasirka.
- A survey team from Sternmetal Horizons is currently surveying Whanga to judge whether mining would be profitable.
- The corporation is active on Gunn.
- Playa Mining and Shipping is a subsidiary company purchased by the parent company in 1010, and operates within the Marches and the Extents. PM&S has a reputation as a strip mining juggernaut who frequently catches heat for environmental concerns and shady practices regarding private properties and indigenous lands and peoples.
Trojan Reach Sector[edit]
- Belt-9 is one of eleven asteroid belt systems in and around the Imperium owned by Sternmetal Horizons. A low population asteroid world located in the Gazulin Subsector, it is operated almost entirely by robot mining vehicles, with a few humans engaged in supervision and repairs.
- At Torpol, there are mining corporations and belters, including a presence by Sternmetal Horizons in the system's inner belt.
