Sonthert has a normal climate and a very thin oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere, tainted by high oxygen partial pressure. The atmosphere is breathable to off-world humans, but very uncomfortable. The locals are adapted with several physiological changes.

It orbits within its star's habitable zone.

Mainworld Size (S)

Sonthert is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Sonthert has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. This atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds, which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Sonthert is a Danger World and is designated as an Amber Zone. It presents particular risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that are not well understood.

• Visitors are advised to act with caution.

Sonthert is partially interdicted both to protect its human population from interference, and to protect the rest of the Imperium from the megalomaniac "Emperor of All Things" and his armored knights, who have declared their intent to conquer the universe, starting with anyone foolish enough to land on Sonthert.

World Starport (St)

Sonthert has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

Sonthert has a population of 3,000,000 sophonts (millions).

All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors).
