• It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
• It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Lode Subsector of Zarushagar Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
• It is a part of the Epshu Cluster region of the Greater Massilia Main.

Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Port Arthur is a member of the Epshu Cluster region of the Greater Massilia Main, a major Main and important trade route lying across parts of Massilia Sector and Zarushagar Sector.

World Starport (St)

Port Arthur has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

Port Arthur has a population of 100,000 sophonts (hundreds of thousands).

Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors).
