Outback Subsector is a developing subsector still working on building a basis of wealth, trade, manufacturing, shipyards, and industrial bases.
- It is 100% owned and dominated by Imperial concerns as a part of Imperial Space and the Third Imperium.
- It is well populated by Imperial Nobility.
The subsector is notable for the Solomani-inspired names of the Peloponnesian Bridge, apparently the result of a flurry of commermoration of Terran antiquity.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The Outback Subsector is defended by 92nd Fleet.
Its primary facilities were the Naval Bases at Thebes and Suguura.
Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]
Outback, subsector F of Daibei contains 26 worlds with an estimated population of 2 billion, a per capita income of Cr4,111, and a total economy is BCr9,601. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr46 through 21 starports (3 Class A, 4 Class B, 10 Class C, 4 Class D) employing 11,840 people. Driving this interstellar trade are four Agricultural (Ag) worlds, three Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, four Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Outback maintain two Naval bases, one Scout base, and one Way station. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 7 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Athenae (Daibei 0913).
Outback, subsector F of Daibei contains 36 stars and 289 identified planets; 17 monostellar systems, eight binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 25 of the 26 systems (96%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, no Desert (De) worlds, no Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, two Poor (Po) worlds, seven Vacuum (Va) worlds, and three Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Outback has an estimated population of 2 billion distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, three Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 11 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, ten Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The many Jump-2 routes in the subsector have diverted much mercantile traffic elsewhere. Local powers have been unable to fund jump bridge's and other ways of attracting trade routes to the area. Despite the old population and much history, the area remains an economic and cultural backwater.
