- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial minor duke.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Temeraire has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- The downport is named Treydotha.

World Demographics[edit]
World Languages[edit]
Urbanization[edit]
Most Evantha towns feature a cluster of slender, tall buildings surrounded by industrial centres, air and space ports, or hunting parks. Individual buildings are open and airy, with spacious rooms, balconies, and skylights. Shops and markets are open-air.
World Government (G)[edit]
Temeraire has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
There are 73 nation-states on Temeraire, currently under the control of the Spiral Path political movement.
Few formalized procedures exist in Evantha society. Bureaucracy is alien to their culture; record-keeping is a necessary evil, but evil nonetheless.
World Law Level (L)[edit]
Temeraire has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (outside private residences or visiting starships).
World Technology Level (TL)[edit]
Temeraire possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
World Culture[edit]
Evantha young are very dependent on their parents. Children accompany parents as much as possible, at home and during work. When they become adults, most find a substitute family by devoting themselves to a cause larger than themselves, not so much on its own merits as to give direction to their lives.
Trade[edit]
Evantha equipment is beautifully made and unlikely to break but costs at least 50% more than equivalent Human items; the result of Evanthan preference for individuality and style at the cost of standardization.
