Subsector H of Langere Sector, within the territory of the Hive Federation.

Description (Specifications)

Surveying trailing Langere Sector upon first arriving, pioneering Hivers travelled through Limited, Very Hot, Unsuitable, the slightly more promising Adequate, the much better Pleasant... and then they found Optimum. It was happily settled by billions. With Hivers came their major client races/fellow Federation members, and sizeable colonies of Ithklur (on Urzxxyysso) and Gurvin (on Ackih) were established. There was even a race native to the subsector, on Gohi, allowing the Hivers to indulge their parenting-uplift instinct and manipulate heartily. The garden world Waap, only jump-2 from Optimum, soon attracted a population almost 50 times larger (the Hivers less concerned about the environmental impact there than on their optimal world).

Finally, humans -- of a distinctly odd culture by Imperial or Solomani standards -- have a thriving civilization on Ziiping.

Subsector Summary: 1105

Ho, subsector H of Langere, contains 14 worlds with an estimated combined population of 52 billion, a per capita income of Cr3,694, and a total economy of BCr192,859. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr108 through 11 starports (1 Class A, 6 Class B, 3 Class C, 1 Class D) employing 13,035 people. Driving this interstellar trade are one Agricultural (Ag) world, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and no Industrial (In) worlds. Ho, subsector H of Langere contains 23 stars and 150 identified planets; six monostellar systems, seven binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 12 of the 14 systems (85%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, two Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, two Poor (Po) worlds, two Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.

Ho has an estimated population of 52 billion distributed across three High population (Hi) worlds, one Moderate population (Ph) world, three Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, five Low population (Lo) worlds, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population world is Waap (Langere 2811). The population consists of 5 sophont groups including one native sophont.
