- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- Life is trying on a world like this and inhabitants are constantly working towards developing a viable source of food production.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Palasha Subsector of Massilia Sector in the Domain of Sylea.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)
Atina has a solitary primary star.
- It is a red main sequence named Lumara.
The star and its system of worlds is around 8.9 Gyr old.
System Data
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x7 secondary rocky worlds.
- Ophus, an ice world orbiting in the outer system.
- Drade, an ice world orbiting in the outer system.
- Aigantu, an bigworld orbiting in the outer system.
- Vurn, an ice world orbiting in the outer system.
- Suipra, an ice world orbiting in the outer system.
- Mocarro, an ice world orbiting in the outer system.
- Varvis, a worldlet orbiting in the outer system.
- x2 gas giants.
- Miutus, a large gas giant orbiting in the outer system.
- Llomia, a large gas giant orbiting in the outer system.
Mainworld Data
- The planet has an axial tilt of 20.93 degrees
- Atina has a sidereal day length of 28.1 hours
- The planet takes 310.96 days to rotate around its sun.
- No tectonic plate activity exists on the planet.
- No life has so far been found on the planet even at microbiology level.
- The planet is barely habitable and full protective gear is required outside.
Mainworld Size (S)
Atina is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
- The planet has been extensively surveyed and the diameter has been accurately established now as 9762 km.
- The planetary survey confirmed that Atina has a core that is mostly rock with a density of 0.71 Standard
- Surface gravity of the planet is 0.54g which is classified as Low Gravity
- The mass of Atina is 0.32 standard
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
Atina has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- Atmospheric pressure measured in bar is 0.147
- The mean surface temperature on Atina is -161.32c and is clearly too cold for human life to exist outside without protective equipment and survival gear.
- Although the atmosphere is breathable with appropriate equipment eg respirator, there are slightly higher amounts of nitrogen.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
Atina has 05-15% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice. Wilderness refueling will be difficult. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds or Poor Worlds depending on their atmosphere.
- Atina has one small and completely frozen sea that covers c.10% of the worlds surface. The planet as a whole is covered in a thin sheet of ice crystals across vast open plains. The perpetual twilight from its red dwarf (M3 V Star) causes the plains ice to glisten.
- Although the water, if appropriately purified, is drinkable there is not enough of a water supply on the planet to support the population, as such water is imported from elsewhere in the Atina System.
Mainworld Geography and Topography
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)
History & Background (Dossier)
Atina lies on the Delphi Main, an important trade route straddling the border between Massilia Sector and Delphi Sector.
World Starport (St)
Atina has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)
Atina has a population of 900,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).
- Atina has 11 major cities located across the planets surface.
- Cities on Atina take advantage of the low gravity and consist of huge towering skyscrapers interconnected with sealed walkways.
- Each city is located near to a large ore field and the city provides the workforce and their families to mine the ore.
- Each city also has an extensive spaceport facility to enable water suppliers to be brought directly to the system from other planets within the Atina system.
Linguistic Topography
The most commonly heard languages are:
- Anglic, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
- Vilani, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
World Technology Level (T)
Atina possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)
Atina is governed by a Charismatic Dictatorship. Charismatic governments justify their ability to rule by simply asserting their right to rule. Charismatic dictatorships are typically young governments, coming as a recent change, and rely on the leader(s) to supply head of government.
- The planet of Atina is led by the High Chancellor. This individual is a charismatic figure who has gained the trust and admiration of the populace. They are seen as a wise and just ruler, making decisions for the greater good of the society.
- The High Chancellor is supported in his/her role by the Council of Advisors. The Council are a group of trusted advisors from various sectors (science, magic, industry) who provide counsel to the High Chancellor. They are experts in their fields and help shape policies.
- At the lowest level of government on Atina there are the regular Public Assemblies. These regular gatherings are where citizens can voice their concerns and suggestions. While the High Chancellor has the final say, these assemblies ensure that the people's voices are heard.
World Law (L)
Atina has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Imperial Landed Nobility
Atina, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the fiefdom of a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversees affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.
- It holds the estate of an Imperial knight, the Imperial representative to the world.
- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial viscount.
Trade Data
- Importance: 2 (ordinary)
World Economy
- Resources: C (very abundant)
- Extensive iron and nickel deposits are located across the planetary surface and are now being extensively mined for export off planet. In addition magnesium sulfate is being extracted from the ice sea in small quantities.
- The iron and nickel deposits are extensive and news of the size of the ore fields is starting to get the attention of megacorporations who have the resources to truly exploit them. At present small, more local corporations are working the fields and generating good profits from onwards selling the ore.
- Labor: 7 (tens of millions)
- Infrastructure: B (very extensive)
- Efficiency: +2 (good)
World Culture
- Heterogenity: 8 (discordant)
- Acceptance: A (very friendly)
- Strangeness: 5 (distinct)
- Symbols: A (abstract)
