Major Historical Events Timeline

Star Lane, originally designated District 220, was admitted to the Imperium in 424, when Mora (Spinward Marches 3124) was divested of much of its territory in the reorganization of the Spinward Marches.

The subsector has no Duke, and given the distance from powers in Vincennes, Sabine and Inar the worlds of Star Lane largely have to fend for themselves. Mora keeps the peace on the Spinward side. The Duke of Vincennes, on the other hand, considers Star Lane subsector an extension of his Duchy.

The subsector is therefore split into three sections.

  1. One section is the independent County of Askigaak, the largest polity in Star Lane. The County spreads along the rimward border and reaches toward the center of the subsector. The Count has Marquises in Chaosheo (Deneb 0130), Rimkuku (Deneb 0228), and Barbary (Deneb 0327).
  2. The second section is in the Coreward, Spinward corner with worlds that connect to the Spinward Main. Mater Nova (Deneb 0221) is relatively isolated, has a bit of power, and a martial culture that allow it to maintain its own independence from county or duchy. Its influence can be felt for a few parsecs around it.
  3. The third section is the Trailing edge of the subsector. These worlds are dominated by Vincennes subsector and in all but name are treated as part of the Duchy of Vincennes. The Duchy often clashes with the County of Askigaak over Kernal (Deneb 0626).

Politics and Diplomacy : Milieu 1116

Star Lane, subsector I of Deneb, contains 30 worlds with an estimated combined population of 90 billion, a per capita income of Cr5,099, and a total economy of BCr462,418. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr1,745 through 26 starports (3 Class A, 6 Class B, 14 Class C, 3 Class D) employing 672,125 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, three Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Star Lane maintain ten Scout bases and three Naval bases. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 6 and 11). The highest technology level is 15 at Imone (Deneb 0826).

Star Lane, subsector I of Deneb, contains 42 stars and 298 identified planets; 19 monostellar systems, ten binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 26 of the 30 systems (86%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, one Desert (De) world, one Garden (Ga) world, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, four Poor (Po) worlds, three Vacuum (Va) worlds, and three Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Star Lane has an estimated population of 90 billion distributed across one High population (Hi) world, one Moderate population (Ph) world, ten Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, 12 Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Askigaak (Deneb 0629). The population consists primarily of 4 sophont groups including three native sophonts.

Third Imperium, Domain of Deneb

The Third Imperium, Domain of Deneb has jurisdiction over all of the worlds with an estimated combined population of 90 billion, a per capita income of Cr5,099, and a total economy of BCr462,418. The governments in the Third Imperium, Domain of Deneb maintain ten Scout bases and three Naval bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 6 and 11). The highest technology level is 15 at Imone (Deneb 0826).

The Third Imperium, Domain of Deneb has an estimated population of 90 billion within the subsector, distributed across one High population (Hi) world, one Moderate population (Ph) world, ten Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, 12 Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Askigaak (Deneb 0629). The population consists primarily of 4 sophont groups including three native sophonts. The Star Lane Subsector is defended by 196th Fleet.
