Using a 300-ton, {{TL|14}} hull, the Fat Cat-class Far Trader mounts C-class drives, giving a performance of jump-2 and 2G acceleration. Fuel tankage supports a 2 parsec jump, at 24t per parsec, and 2 months of operations. Attached to the bridge is a Computer Model/1bis. There is a crew suite and barracks, and 8 double passenger staterooms. No weapons are mounted. Cargo capacity is 100 tons. The ship has a lifting body hull, with scoops for frontier refueling. It is slightly undertonned, giving it 3G acceleration in atmosphere 2+.

The Fat Cat class Far Trader is a civilian Far Trader.

Description[edit]

Using a 300-ton, TL–14 hull, the Fat Cat-class Far Trader mounts C-class drives, giving a performance of jump-2 and 2G acceleration.
