Gveghz Subsector is a region that has seen millennia of settlement by Vargr.

  • The resources of the subsector are being exploited.

Astrographic Features & Trade Routes[edit]

The following astrographic and commercial data has been determined regarding Gveghz Subsector:

  • The subsector is a very low stellar density region.

Stellar Distribution[edit]

A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Gveghz Subsector, right:

  • The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
  • The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.

Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.

  • Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
  • Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.

Rifts and Voids[edit]

The subsector lies on the spinward edge of the Windhorn Rift.

  • The rift hinders travel and commerce within the region.
  • It has placed a boundary on settlement and expansion within the area.

A simple map showing the general extent of the Windhorn Rift, right:

The nature and limits of the rift may be determined by different criteria in different regions.

World Listing[edit]

AAB library archives contain expanded data about the following systems:

  • The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map.
  • Other sources may contain contradictory or incorrect information.
7 Worlds in the Gveghz Subsector
Aeghvoekogz  •  Farr  •  Gegllurirse  •  Kfaenggzon  •  Koudzhsakhgo  •  Ongrro  •  Togikhtsurzall  •

Note that some Second Survey data, though only 40 years old, is likely to be out of date.

  • Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.
  • Scouting missions gathering reliable, verified data can receive substantial payment.
  • Verified updated data is constantly sought.

Subsector Summary[edit]

Gveghz, subsector G of Provence, contains seven worlds with an estimated combined population of 790 million, a per capita income of Cr8,632, and a total economy of BCr6,820. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr24 through 7 starports (2 Class A, 2 Class B, 3 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 6,705 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, three Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Gveghz maintain one Naval base. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 8 and 10). The highest technology level is 12 at Aeghvoekogz (Provence 1712).

Gveghz, subsector G of Provence, contains seven stars and 79 identified planets; seven monostellar systems, no binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 7 of the seven systems (100%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, one Garden (Ga) world, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, one Poor (Po) world, no Vacuum (Va) worlds, and no Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Gveghz has an estimated population of 790 million distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, one Moderate population (Ph) world, five Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, no Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Aeghvoekogz (Provence 1712). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.

1 identified sophont population in Gveghz

Non-Aligned, Vargr-dominated[edit]

There are four Non-Aligned Vargr-dominated worlds in Gveghz with an estimated combined population of 83 million.

Empire of Varroerth[edit]

The Empire of Varroerth has jurisdiction over three worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 707 million, a per capita income of Cr9,316, and a total economy of BCr6,587. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr19 through 3 starports (1 Class A, 2 Class B, 0 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 4,895 people. Driving this interstellar trade are one Agricultural (Ag) world, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and no Industrial (In) worlds.

The Empire of Varroerth has an estimated population of 707 million within the subsector, distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, one Moderate population (Ph) world, two Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, no Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Aeghvoekogz (Provence 1712). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.
