Subsector C of Touchstone Sector, largely uncharted and unclaimed. A few Aslan worlds hug the trailing edge.

Humans are found on Arihiy'oilew and Grief.

Description / Specifications[edit]

Humans call this subsector Hardway, allegedly from the difficulty early explorers faced in reaching the area, although it is possible that a similar-sounding word to the Aslan name was chosen for convenience. The subsector is dominated by a large cluster of star systems that extends spinward into Kyahiyleakhaw Subsector. Why this area is not claimed by the Aslan remains unclear; virtually no astrographical data on the area is available in the Imperium.

Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]

Hiryarloah, subsector C of Touchstone, contains 29 worlds with an estimated combined population of 51 million, a per capita income of Cr1,117, and a total economy of BCr57. Driving this economy are one Agricultural (Ag) world, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The average technology level is 1 (with most between 0 and 4). The highest technology level is 9 at Khtyakhtalr (Touchstone 2403).

Hiryarloah, subsector C of Touchstone, contains 32 stars and 313 identified planets; 26 monostellar systems, three binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 18 of the 29 systems (62%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, two Desert (De) worlds, three Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, two Poor (Po) worlds, two Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.

Hiryarloah has an estimated population of 51 million distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, five Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, two Low population (Lo) worlds, and 21 Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Uaseirl (Touchstone 2406). The population consists primarily of 2 sophont groups.

2 identified sophont populations in Hiryarloah

Non-Aligned, unclaimed[edit]

There are 23 Non-Aligned unclaimed worlds in Hiryarloah with an estimated combined population of less than 1 million.

Aslan Hierate[edit]

The Aslan Hierate has formal jurisdiction over six worlds with an estimated combined population of 51 million, a per capita income of Cr1,117, and a total economy of BCr57. Driving this economy are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The average technology level is 6 (with most between 4 and 7). The highest technology level is 9 at Khtyakhtalr (Touchstone 2403).

The Aslan Hierate has an estimated population of 51 million within the subsector, distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, four Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, one Low population (Lo) world, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Uaseirl (Touchstone 2406). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.

History & Background / Dossier[edit]

New Era[edit]

In 1116, the subsector had a population of 51.5 million, and its highest TL was 9, at Khtyakhtalr. In 1202, the subsector's population is 7.9 billion, and its highest TL is D, at Auwewearel (1709) and Iykhei (2209).

Hiryarloah Subsector possessed only a handful of inhabited systems, mostly within the Khaukheairl sphere to trailing. Like neighboring Kyahiyleakhaw subsector it became a battleground between "wildcatter" clans and Collapse refugees. The primary conflict is between Tralyeaeawi and a number of Aokhalte vassals in the rimward part of the sector. To intercede between them are a number of independent clans, and the suprisingly strong presence of Yerlyaruiwo and Eakhitiyo clans.
