Subsector G of Touchstone Sector, within the Great Rift.

Description / Specifications[edit]

The Aosola Gulf, located in the spinward-coreward part of the subsector and extending to coreward, is considered a sub-rift by many cartographers.

Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]

Aosola, subsector G of Touchstone, contains four worlds with an estimated combined population of less than 1 million, a per capita income of Cr0, and a total economy of BCr0. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr0 through 1 starport (0 Class A, 0 Class B, 1 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 5 people. Driving this interstellar trade are one Agricultural (Ag) world, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The average technology level is 2 (with most between 0 and 6). The highest technology level is 10 at Rraerrgdzakaek (Touchstone 2211).

Aosola, subsector G of Touchstone, contains four stars and 52 identified planets; four monostellar systems, no binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 2 of the four systems (50%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, no Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, one Poor (Po) world, no Vacuum (Va) worlds, and no Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc)

Non-Aligned, unclaimed[edit]

There are four Non-Aligned unclaimed worlds in Aosola with an estimated combined population of less than 1 million.

New Era[edit]

Aosola Subsector wasn't settled by Aslan until 1142, in the aftermath of the Rape of Trin. Worried about possible Vampire penetration from the Rift, and wanting to reinforce the interclan cooperation that was the base of the Aslan Quarantine, the Tlaukhu settled mixed groups of ordinarily unaffiliated clans together. Many of these were clans previously fallen on hard times, disenfranchised by the Collapse, or out of favor with their liege clans. The region remains a bright spot of relative interclan harmony, because of the desire of these clans to live up, honorably, to the Tlaukhu's faith in them.

The emphasis is on the word "relative", however. Seieakh, Aokhalte and the independent Kareaeakh bloc are all well represented here, and from time to time wage low level trade and duel wars. The Seieakh are on good terms with the Kareaeakh, and the two often coordinate their efforts against the Aokhalte.
