Subsector B of Touchstone Sector, where a few Aslan colonies have been established among stars still largely uncharted.

Description / Specifications[edit]

Little is known about this area, other than by inhabitants of nearby worlds, and it is not clear why the Aslan haven't yet fully claimed it, nor why they pushed past to settle more distant worlds. Speculation focuses on political reasons, e.g. clans wishing to put distance between themselves and rivals.

The Human name for Kyahiyleakhaw Subsector is Beytabey, which is a contraction of ‘Beyond the Beyond’, a reference to early expeditions that arrived in this area by way of The Beyond Sector.

Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]

Kyahiyleakhaw, subsector B of Touchstone, contains 20 worlds with an estimated combined population of 10 billion, a per capita income of Cr1,600, and a total economy of BCr16,024. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr1 through 5 starports (0 Class A, 0 Class B, 0 Class C, 5 Class D) employing 265 people. Driving this interstellar trade are three Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Kyahiyleakhaw maintain three Clan bases. The average technology level is 1 (with most between 0 and 4). The highest technology level is 9 at Uieah (Touchstone 1008).

Kyahiyleakhaw, subsector B of Touchstone, contains 23 stars and 221 identified planets; 17 monostellar systems, three binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 15 of the 20 systems (75%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, two Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, no Poor (Po) worlds, two Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.

Kyahiyleakhaw has an estimated population of 10 billion distributed across one High population (Hi) world, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, six Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, one Low population (Lo) world, and 12 Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Tryeouoaeakh (Touchstone 1108). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.

Non-Aligned, unclaimed[edit]

There are 12 Non-Aligned unclaimed worlds in Kyahiyleakhaw with an estimated combined population of less than 1 million.

Aslan Hierate[edit]

The Aslan Hierate has jurisdiction over eight worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 10 billion, a per capita income of Cr1,600, and a total economy of BCr16,024. The governments in the Aslan Hierate maintain three Clan bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 4 (with most between 2 and 6). The highest technology level is 9 at Uieah (Touchstone 1008).

The Aslan Hierate has an estimated population of 10 billion within the subsector, distributed across one High population (Hi) world, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, six Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, one Low population (Lo) world, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Tryeouoaeakh (Touchstone 1108). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.

History & Background / Dossier[edit]

Later Eras[edit]

In 1116, the subsector had a population of 10.0 billion, and its highest TL was A at Tryeouoaeakh (1108). In 1202 the subsector has a population of 22.4 billion and its highest TL is C, again at Tryeouoaeakh (1108).

Kyahiyleakhaw Subsector (Touchstone B) was, prior to the Collapse, an open frontier and dumping ground for unwanted ihatei. When the Collapse drove billions of Aslan into the Colonies, many of the more organised set up bases for the straggling refugees, and small clan wars have consumed the subsector ever since. The domains of Syoisius, Tralyeaeawi and Aokhalte all run into each other here, and the boundaries are patrolled by tense, hair-trigger military units and irregulars. Tensions are reflected in the large number of amber zones assigned for this subsector.
