Subsector B of Crucis Margin Sector.

Description[edit]

No information yet available.

Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]

Vandir, subsector B of Crucis Margin, contains 27 worlds with an estimated combined population of 9 billion, a per capita income of Cr1,300, and a total economy of BCr12,363. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr359 through 23 starports (2 Class A, 6 Class B, 13 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 66,235 people. Driving this interstellar trade are four Agricultural (Ag) worlds, three Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, five Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, six Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, three Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Vandir maintain one Naval base. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 5 and 10). The highest technology level is 12 at Marden (Crucis Margin 1208).

Vandir, subsector B of Crucis Margin, contains 35 stars and 282 identified planets; 20 monostellar systems, six binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 14 of the 27 systems (51%) have native gas giants. There are two Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, three Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, three Poor (Po) worlds, three Vacuum (Va) worlds, and three Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Vandir has an estimated population of 9 billion distributed across one High population (Hi) world, six Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 12 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, two Low population (Lo) worlds, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population world is Nafud (Crucis Margin 1504). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.

Non-Aligned, Human-dominated[edit]

There are 20 Non-Aligned Human-dominated worlds in Vandir with an estimated combined population of 8 billion.

Mische Conglomerate[edit]

The Mische Conglomerate has jurisdiction over five worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 860 million, a per capita income of Cr5,565, and a total economy of BCr4,786. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr12 through 5 starports (0 Class A, 3 Class B, 2 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 3,715 people. Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, one Rich (Ri) world, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 7 and 10). The highest technology level is 11 at Frauten (Crucis Margin 0903) and Slatni (Crucis Margin 1102).

The Mische Conglomerate has an estimated population of 860 million within the subsector, distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, one Moderate population (Ph) world, three Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, no Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Jipujapa (Crucis Margin 1002). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.

Federation of Amil[edit]

The Federation of Amil has jurisdiction over two worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 40 million, a per capita income of Cr3,650, and a total economy of BCr146. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr1 through 2 starports (0 Class A, 0 Class B, 2 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 420 people. Driving this interstellar trade are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds.

The Federation of Amil has an estimated population of 40 million within the subsector, distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, one Non-industrial (Ni) world, no Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Slae (Crucis Margin 1602). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.

Astrographic Features[edit]

  • Trident: The Trident Main, the longest "prong" of this stellar grouping, crosses the subsector spinward-trailing.
    • The Greater Middle Spike branches off around halfway across.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Some worlds here are considered part of the unofficial cultural region, the Sphere Fenix.

Hiver and K'Kree trade ships are not unheard-of in this subsector, and traders from the Oytrip of Tubroyllufotyusk have been encountered among the local worlds. Solomani long-range traders used to be fairly common, but more or less vanished once the Solomani Rim War began.
