History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
A breakaway state formed when the Viyard Alliance and the Collective merged in 752. A major reason for the disassociation that led to the break was the Collective being areligious. The worlds of the FHFA found this policy, and the Collective's push to completely secularize the Viyard Concourse, unacceptable. They rebelled, by forming their own state.
Continued threat of invasion by the Viyard Concourse has made the FHFA increasingly secular and fanatical in their beliefs and their efforts to remain a separate state. Their alliance with the Mische Conglomerate in 1102 was based not only on trade but on the Mische having what were considered acceptable, if far less fervent, religious views.
Political Lineage: 1105[edit]
The worlds composing the Free and Holy Federation of Amil (FHFA) were once part of the Viyard Alliance. When the Alliance broke with the Galian Trade League in 750, the worlds of the FHFA were included. Two years later, the Viyard Alliance joined with The Collective to become the Viyard Concourse. The worlds now composing the FHFA refused to join and formed a separate polity. The Viyard Concourse initially set on forcing the worlds of the fledgling FHFA back into their fold, but continued tensions and threats of war between the Concourse and Galian Federation, Trindel Confederacy, and Plavian League let the FHFA establish itself as a separate state.
As of 1116, the FHFA has allied with the Mische Conglomerate.
