Rickamil is a nonindustrial fluid world.
- A fluid world has an oceanic geography consisting of heavily contaminated water or a substance such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquid.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- This world is also the overall capital of an interstellar government with the massive extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
- It is a member of the Free and Holy Federation of Amil, in the Outrun Subsector of Crucis Margin Sector.
- This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Rickamil is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Rickamil has an Exotic Atmosphere and possesses an unusual gas mix which requires the use of oxygen tanks. Additionally, protective suits, while not necessary, are recommended. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- Rickamil has a high-nitrogen atmosphere subject to rather violent weather, and particularly electrical storms which pose a hazard to unprotected personnel and light structures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Rickamil has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Rickamil was named for the religious leader Richard Amil, who led his followers out of the Collective (a now-defunct interstellar state in Gateway Sector, to Coreward) to create their own home on five worlds in Crucis Margin.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Rickamil has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- There is an associated Naval Base.
- Space traffic control in the Federation of Amil is a bit strange, since some stellar phenomena are considered holy and thus grounds to stop everything and give thanks. Some orbital regions are "auspicious" and permitted only to suitably anointed crews from among the Faithful.

Rickamil has a population of 9,000,000 sophonts (millions).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
Urbanization[edit]
Due to the danger of electrical storms, surface buildings on Rickamil are rather sturdy, and most constructions are sunk into the ground at least as deep as they are high.
World Government (G)[edit]
Rickamil is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is by representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referenda, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.
- Rickamil's leadership body is the Righteous Council, a religious body that makes all laws.
World Military[edit]
There are two organized Holy Federation Army divisions in this system, plus an Immortal Guards division.
World Law Level (L)[edit]
Rickamil has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

Rickamil possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Economy[edit]
This world produces a Nye Class Caravel for merchant, passenger and trade operations.
Rickamil exports small amounts of high-technology goods, mainly to the Viyard Concourse. Trade vessels from the Mercantile Concord are also common visitors.
