Rosorky is a poor desert world with no free-standing water.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by indigenous Sophonts located in the Rosorky Subsector of Fulani Sector.
- This is a hot world, with a climate of high temperatures.
- This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below technology standards for Charted Space.
- It is the homeworld of the Huuran.
- The world has a small population of Droyne.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Rosorky has a solitary primary star.
- It is an orange main sequence.
Monostellar System[edit]

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x3 secondary rocky worlds.
- x3 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zones warmer inner H+ region
- It receives higher levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits inside the stars Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Rosorky is a Small World between 2,400km and 4,000km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.1G and 0.17G. The horizon will appear about 2.5km away.
- The world is seismically and geologically active.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Rosorky has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. The Thin Atmosphere does not require survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
- The world experiences high temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Rosorky has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
- Much of the surface is an arid, hostile environment.
Satellites[edit]
Rosorky retains a small vacuum moon.
- It orbits once every few days.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, predominantly dry world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Extensive native life. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
- Native life thrives in arid conditions.
- Almost all large organisms are subterranean.
- The world has very few predatory species.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Rosorky is relatively prosperous, with a stable economy and acceptable standards of living.
- The resources of the mainworld are being exploited.
It is the homeworld of the Huuran.
- They are blind, wormlike, troglodytic, sciapod, pacifist farmers.
- First contact occurred millennia ago.
There is limited activity within the system.
- Commercial traffic is very infrequent: ships rarely visit.
- Commo generally only picks up natural background noise and static.
- A single commercial navigation beacon may be active.
- Vessels are unlikely be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.
At around the same point in history (circa -250,000), five separate species – the Chowwar, Enchai, Huuran, Muu, and Nagad – all evolved intelligence.
- The Huuran and all four other species share dormant, nearly identical markers within their genetic makeup.
- The homeworlds of all five species lie within the same general region.
- Other than the timing of their emergent sapience, they have few other biological or chemical similarities.
- At almost exactly the same time, Droyne were transplanted onto Naylyoeatru.
Red is Naylyoeatru.
Yellow is other sophont homeworlds.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Rosorky has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Demographics (P)[edit]
Rosorky has a population of 10 million Huuran.
- There are a few thousand Droyne present on the world, principally located within the capital city.
Urbanization[edit]
Multiple large urban centers are surrounded by smaller satellite communities.
- The population are concentrated into a few relatively densely populated regions.
- Much of the surface of the world remains as wilderness.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Rosorky possesses a Technology Level of TL–4.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Telephone and telegraphs, widespread printing.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early electricity, hydrocarbon internal combustion.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Trains and early automobiles.
- Water: Clippers and steam ships.
- Air: Dirigibles, balloons, very basic rockets.
World Government (G)[edit]
Rosorky is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
World Military[edit]
The Huuran do not maintain standing armies.
World Law (L)[edit]
Rosorky has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Machine guns, other automatic weapons, portable energy weapons, and other military weapons, body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 7 (few)
- Labor: 6 (millions)
- Infrastructure: 2 (extremely limited)
- Efficiency: -2 (fair)
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: -2 (very unimportant)
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 4 (harmonious)
- Acceptance: 5 (very aloof)
- Strangeness: 6 (very distinct)
- Symbols: 3 (very concrete)
World Timeline[edit]
