History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The Chowwar, Enchai, Huuran, Muu, and Nagad all appear to have evolved intelligence at the same time.
All five species retain almost identical dormant markers within their genetic makeup.
- Other than the timing of their emergent sapience, they have few other biological or chemical similarities.
Timeline[edit]
- ca -250,000: the Chowwar emerged as an intelligent species.
- At almost exactly the same time four other species on nearby worlds evolved intelligence, and Droyne were transplanted onto Naylyoeatru.
- The Chowwar and all four other species share dormant, nearly identical genetic markers.
Red is Naylyoeatru.
Yellow is other sophont homeworlds.
Astrography[edit]
This race is primarily located in the following areas:

Homeworld[edit]
The homeworld of this race is:
- Chowwara, a cold agricultural world with a thin, tainted atmosphere and large seas.
Local Technology[edit]
Chowwara possesses a Technology Level of TL–1.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Runners or beast relay and long distance signaling such as the heliograph and semaphore.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Muscle power and water wheels.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Riding animals, rickshaws, carts or other creature-drawn wheeled vehicles.
- Water: Rowed galleys and early sailing vessels.

- Large regions of the surface of the world remain as wilderness.
A large percentage of the population are nomadic, following prey herds through forests and across the endless tundra.
Local Government[edit]
Chowwara has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.

Chowwara has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (outside private residences or visiting starships).
