Oekfozak has an Exotic Atmosphere and possesses an unusual gas mix which requires the use of oxygen tanks, but protective suits not necessary, but are recommended. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

• It experiences very low temperatures.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Oekfozak has 35-45% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice heavily tainted with other substances, which makes it dangerous, corrosive, or toxic. Wilderness refueling will be difficult. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds may be Hell Worlds.

• The water on the surface may be unsuitable for use or consumption without extensive filtering and purification.
• Refining for fuel may cause issues with shipboard purification plants.

Oekfozak was claimed by the Vilani millennia ago and was eventually absorbed into the Ziru Sirka. It was nominally under the authority of the Rule of Man prior to the Long Night.

• It has ruins and remains on its surface dating to before the founding of the Ziru Sirka.

World Starport (St)

Oekfozak has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

• The world is host to a Vargr Corsair Base.

Oekfozak has a population of 8,000 sophonts (thousands).

• -2204 to -1776: the Rule of Man nominally administers the rimward worlds of the region. Conflicts escalate between Vargr and humans as the Vargr occupy former Ziru Sirka territory.
• -1776 to 0: the Long Night. There is widespread regression within the area and some worlds become barren.
• -1658: the Sack of Gashikan, an atrocity known throughout the coreward parts of Charted Space.
• -1427: the Wolvesbane plague is released in Gashikan Sector, decimating Vargr populations.
• The Year 0: to rimward, the Third Imperium is founded.
