Subsector K of Langere Sector, almost entirely within territory of the Hive Federation.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Hive Federation colonies and outposts, most of them small, are found here. The one world not under Federation control is Yefaa. Oddly, this world is listed in most databases as being Human-aligned, and yet there are apparently no inhabitants. What this means, and what the significance of its position less than a parsec from the Hiver border might be, is unclear.
The most influential Federation worlds in the subsector are the tropical Gurvin world of Zojaa (the most heavily populated planet here) and the colonies supporting naval facilities at Cold World and Fehaa.
There are apparently remnants of a native species or variant culture on Eeg.
Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]
Kobol, subsector K of Langere contains 20 worlds with an estimated population of 1 billion, a per capita income of Cr5,450, and a total economy is BCr7,085. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr114 through 19 starports (1 Class A, 10 Class B, 5 Class C, 3 Class D) employing 17,730 people. Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, six Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Kobol maintain three Naval bases, and one Military base. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 6 and 10). The highest technology level is 12 at Cold World (Langere 1822) and Phyeaa (Langere 2129).
Kobol, subsector K of Langere contains 28 stars and 212 identified planets; 14 monostellar systems, five binary systems, no trinary systems, and one system with four or more stars. 18 of the 20 systems (90%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, two Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, one Poor (Po) world, six Vacuum (Va) worlds, and no Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Kobol has an estimated population of 1 billion distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, three Moderate population (Ph) worlds, eight Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, nine Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Zojaa (Langere 1725), Fehaa (Langere 1821), and Phyeaa (Langere 2129). The population consists of 4 sophont groups including one native sophont.
