Major Historical Events Timeline: 1116[edit]
These are some of the more important historical events that have affected this subsector:
- -300,000: Ancients active.
- -2950: Zdodren (Chyia Nedlkel) settled by Vlazhdumecta prospectors.
- -2000: The Zhodani Helix Nebula Expedition uses Zdodren as a staging ground.
- -1582: Sindalian Empire dissidents travel across the sector.
- -1492: Issoudun settled from Fulani Sector as a refuelling and trade outpost.
- -1104: The Zhodani Great Rift Expedition.
- 400: First Wave Imperial settlers begin to arrive in the coreward Vanguard Reaches.
- 605: The 'Great Pulse' of Imperial settlers begins, during the turmoil of the Frontier Wars and Civil War.
- 626: The Driantia Steblenzhtia or Zhodani Colonnade Province is founded. By this time, Zdodren -- now called Zhdeqr -- supports a population in the billions and is the obvious choice as the capital. Its culture mixes Vlazhdumecta and Zhodani customs with a locally evolved tradition of egalitarianism.
- 666: The politician Chyia Nedlkel institutes reforms calling for the psionic training of all of Zhdeqr's citizens. This reform is popular on Zhdeqr but not across the region -- and certainly not with the Zhodani Consulate leadership.
- 674: Death of Chyia Nedlkel. The new leadership venerates the popular leader by supporting the effort to rename Zhdeqr in his honour. However, they also take steps to limit the economic and societal disruptions arising from the psionic training of the majority of the population.
- Circa 700: Although still named Chyia Nedlkel, the world in question has by now abandoned his reforms and returned to the norms of Zhodani society.
- 710: The Tellerian Cluster settled as an Imperial counterweight to the Colonnade.
- 879: Chyia Nedlkel remains the capital after the Driantia Steblenzhtia merges with the Colonnade Administrative District to become the Zhodani Consulate Colonnade Province.
- 941: The Allarton Corporation is formed at Capital to settle and develop the Trelyn Domain.
- 966: The Colonnade capital is moved to Nielkladlief (the Consulate leadership still not fully trusting Chyia Nedlkel).
- 980: The Trelyn Domain becomes an Imperial client state under Grand Duke Ardesh Varen.
- 995 to 1065: The Imperial Second Survey.
- 1065: The Second Survey is published. Information about the region becomes widely available.
- 1089: The Council of Worlds establishes limits to the conflict in the Tellerian Cluster.
