Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Iareflonzal is a binary star system.
- The primary is turbulent red giant.
- The secondary is a red main sequence.

Notes[edit]
The two stars of the Iareflonzal system have an average separation of 2.25 AU and orbit a barycenter that lies between them.
- They have an orbital period around one another of approximately 460 standard days.
- The secondary star orbits within the giant primary star's inner system.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x7 planetoid belts.
- x1 gas giant.
The system does not contain any secondary rocky worlds.
- The gas giant and all seven belts and have circumbinary orbits around the two central stars.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Iareflonzal is a moon of the system's solitary hot gas giant.
The mainworld and its gas giant primary world orbit towards the inner edge of the primary star's habitable zone.
- They receive relativly high levels of stellar energy.
- The gas giant is "puffy", warm and very swollen due to the high levels of energy it receives from the star.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Iareflonzal is a Small World between 900km and 2,400km in diameter. The world has very low gravity between 0.05G and 0.09G. The horizon will appear about 2km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Iareflonzal has a pressure of less than 0.1 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- It experiences high temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Iareflonzal has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
- The surface of the world is an arid, hostile environment.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
(Blank map, trace atmosphere world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Primitive surface native life occupying a very few ecological niches. Its metabolic functions help maintain the fragile process of atmospheric renewal.
- Native lifeforms are thermophilic - they prefer high temperatures.
- Life on the surface of the world survives in extremely marginal conditions.
A vast complex of interconnected caverns contains an extensive ecosystem and a breathable atmosphere.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The primary star causes interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.
The mainworld was originally settled as part of the Driantia Steblenzhtia, but the local nobles decided to secede rather than accept Chyia Nedlkel's reforms of 666.
The system is part of a cluster of stars known as Rom's Rosette.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Iareflonzal has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Iareflonzal has a population of 80,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
- Around 80% of the population (approximately 65 million individuals) is made up of humans.
- About 20% of the population (roughly 15 million individuals) consists of Chirpers.
The Caverns[edit]
The Chirper population on the world have been resident for hundreds of millennia, dwelling within a vast series of sealed, interconnected caverns.
- They appear to have been transplanted onto Iareflonzal by the Ancients precursor race.
A huge variety of primitive native lifeforms inhabit the caverns, digesting minerals, absorbing heat and moisture, and generating the predominantly thin atmosphere that fills them: deeper levels have denser atmospheres but are unpleasantly hot. Common species of these lifeforms are able to rapidly seal atmospheric leaks, should any occur - they grow as large tough mats that can lift away from surfaces and seal openings, propelled by the escaping air.
- The caverns cover hundreds of thousands of square kilometers, and typically lie tens of meters below the surface.
- Even today, vast regions of the caverns remain unexplored.
The native life within the caverns provided everything the Chirpers required - an atmosphere to breathe, bioluminescent light, food and fluids, and raw materials.
- They existed within them with a broadly TL–0 culture. Their presence on the world was first detected by the Zhodani settlers.
- The current Chirper population embraces modern technology and even cautiously welcome visitors, but carefully protect and nurture their caverns.
- It is likely that there are still uncontacted Chirper communities in the remoter regions of the caves.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Iareflonzal possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-2.
World Government (G)[edit]
Iareflonzal is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
Visitors are required to pay an air tax and may trade in restricted technologies only with the government. Penalties for smuggling of vacc suits and similar items are high, but offworlders who respect these restrictions are treated well.
World Law (L)[edit]
Iareflonzal has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
