Subsector E of Corridor Sector. It is sometimes referred to as ‘little Deneb’ as the worlds of the subsector have closer ties with Deneb Sector than the territories to trailing. Ian acts as an exit and entry port for goods headed through the Corridor to the Imperial heartland.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The Ian Subsector is defended by 32nd Fleet  and the 33rd Fleet.

Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]

Ian, subsector E of Corridor, contains 23 worlds with an estimated combined population of 91 billion, a per capita income of Cr1,002, and a total economy of BCr91,594. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr3,699 through 18 starports (4 Class A, 6 Class B, 5 Class C, 3 Class D) employing 950,835 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Ian maintain five Naval bases and four Scout bases. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 6 and 11). The highest technology level is 13 at Kiran (Corridor 0112).

Ian, subsector E of Corridor, contains 28 stars and 235 identified planets; 18 monostellar systems, five binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 22 of the 23 systems (95%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, one Garden (Ga) world, two Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, six Poor (Po) worlds, one Vacuum (Va) world, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.

Ian has an estimated population of 91 billion distributed across two High population (Hi) worlds, four Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 12 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, four Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Irasumshu (Corridor 0417). The population primarily consists of 2 sophont groups.

Astrographic Features & Trade Routes: 1116[edit]

The following astrographic features and trade routes can be found within this area:

The coreward end of the subsector is thick with stars, as part of the Atsah Cluster, sprawling into Deneb Sector to spinward and Khouth Subsector to coreward. Rimward, stellar density is far lower.

Ian Subsector is far more secure than Khouth, being further from the Vargr Extents and effectively protected by the Great Rift on its rimward edge.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
