IISS Rangers
The IISS Rangers were a covert intelligence unit of the Scout Service established as a separate branch-level service by the Emperor Paulo I in the year 741.
- Rumors that the Rangers still exist are categorically denied by Scout Service administrators.
- Any relationship between the Rhylanor Taoiseach and the IISS Rangers is both uncertain and speculative.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Originally tasked with observing and recording activity within the Imperium that might pose a threat to Imperial security, as time went on the Rangers evolved into more of an intervention force answerable solely to the Emperor.
- The Rangers continued to function after the death of Paulo I in 767 as an independent reaction force, dealing with both real and imagined threats at their own discretion.
- Due to excesses on the part of some Ranger operatives, including the possible involvement of some in the death of the Emperor Tomutov I in 768, the Empress Paula II revoked the Ranger's charter in 772, resulting in their subsequent disbanding.
