The Imperial Marine Commandos are a special forces unit present within the armed forces of the Third Imperium with origins in the Imperial Marines Corps.
Imperial Marine Commandos are the elite of the elite, specialising in hard-hitting precision strikes and raids against high-value enemy targets. They are one of the three Elite Special Forces Units fielded by the Imperial Forces. Marine Commando raider units are also trained in reconnaissance. They can be deployed in or out of battledress, depending on the needs of the operation or campaign.
Recruitment[edit]
Imperial Marine Commandos are recruited from both Marine and Navy personnel, though the vast majority of recruits tend to be Marines. Those Naval personnel who are selected tend to come from Naval "Regiment", Gunnery, or Medical Branch.
Uniform Distinctives[edit]
Headwear[edit]
- Imperial Marine Commandos replace the normal Maroon Beret of the Imperial Marine with the famous Imperial Marine Commando Green Beret embossed with a Golden Starburst badge and the legend "All Means to Victory". [1] [2]
Organization[edit]
The largest standard unit of Imperial Marine Commandos is the Commando Company. One Company is assigned to each fleet headquarters of the Imperial Navy, and one to each Marine Regiment.
Table of Rank Grades[edit]
As a hand-picked elite fighting force, the lowest ranking serving members in a Marine Commando unit all have a minimum of NCO Rank.
