The rank of First Lieutenant (O2) is the commissioned officer rank in the Imperial Marines that commands a Platoon or has duties of similar importance.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Each Platoon in the Imperial Marines and many Mercenary and Huscarle units will be commanded by a Lieutenant under a Captain. Several administrative and staff posts at Battalion level or higher are also held by Officers with this rank.
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Navy is Sub-Lieutenant.
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Army (GFC) is First Lieutenant.
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Army (NFC) is Sub-Lieutenant
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Army (COACC) is Flying Officer
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The term Lieutenant is indicative of this rank being derived from the role of being the deputy commander of a Company under a Captain.
