Blar, subsector L of Extolian, contains 34 worlds with an estimated combined population of 47 billion, a per capita income of Cr5,748, and a total economy of BCr272,828. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr4,695 through 31 starports (7 Class A, 13 Class B, 7 Class C, 4 Class D) employing 667,235 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, five Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, three Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, three Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and two Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Blar maintain six Naval bases and four Military bases. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 8 and 12). The highest technology level is 14 at Loolqon (Extolian 2928) and Ran (Extolian 3124).

Blar, subsector L of Extolian, contains 48 stars and 342 identified planets; 22 monostellar systems, 11 binary systems, no trinary systems, and one system with four or more stars. 21 of the 34 systems (61%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, no Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, seven Poor (Po) worlds, three Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.

Blar has an estimated population of 47 billion distributed across three High population (Hi) worlds, four Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 16 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, seven Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Koqcal (Extolian 2521) and Epertionan (Extolian 2927). The population consists primarily of 5 sophont groups including one native sophont.

Hive Federation[edit]

The Hive Federation has jurisdiction over all of the worlds with an estimated combined population of 47 billion, a per capita income of Cr5,748, and a total economy of BCr272,828. The governments in the Hive Federation maintain six Naval bases and four Military bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 8 and 12). The highest technology level is 14 at Loolqon (Extolian 2928) and Ran (Extolian 3124).

The Hive Federation has an estimated population of 47 billion within the subsector, distributed across three High population (Hi) worlds, four Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 16 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, seven Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Koqcal (Extolian 2521) and Epertionan (Extolian 2927). The population consists primarily of 5 sophont groups including one native sophont.

Demographics: 1105[edit]

  • Humaniti (Human races)
    • As Hive Federation citizens on cosmopolitan worlds like Daapklafanapao (Extolian 2725) and Koqcal (Extolian 2521).

Linguistic Topography: 1105[edit]

The following languages are among the most commonly used within this astrographic region:

  • Gurvin: The common language of the Hive Federation and a secondary language in many of its client states.
  • Hiver Sign Language: The silent, visual language used naturally by Hivers.
  • Ithkluri: The common language of the Ithklur, and used in conjunction with Gurvin throughout the Hive Federation and adjacent space.

Major Historical Events Timeline: 1105[edit]

These are some of the more important historical events that have affected this subsector:

  • -4678: Hivers invent the jump drive, thus becoming a Major Race.
  • -3986: The Hivers are shocked to encounter the Ithklur, a race far more violent than any encountered previously.
  • Circa -2900: After a millennium of Manipulation, the Ithklur take their place as an important member of the Hiver interstellar community.
  • Circa -2130: The worlds that will become the Corona Regnum are settled as a Terran cultural region. These Corona Arc colonies make contact with local Minor Races and, in time, the Hivers.
  • -2029 to -2013: The Hiver-K'kree War threatens the Hiver community.
    • -2023 to -2018: As a consequence of organizing defence during the war, the modern Hive Federation is codified.
    • Technological aid to nations like the Krotan Primacy and the Sha Elden Lith Kindriu results in a "hardening" of the K'kree-Hiver border.
    • The K'kree surrender and withdrawal is claimed to be the result of Hiver psychohistorical manipulation. Ithklur history, in the form of the Dikrah Kiradgi, records a different version of events.
  • Circa -1550: A reportedly zealous response to K'kree probes leads to the first declared Corona Regnum, as the systems of the Corona unite to stand against the larger threat.
    • This first Regnum lasts roughly two centuries before collapsing in on itself.
  • The Year 0: Far to spinward, the Third Imperium is founded.
  • 410: To aid in administration of the Young Worlds, the Hive Federation capital is moved to Glea.
  • 995 to 1065: The Imperial Second Survey.
