System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

The "Aes" designation is a common Aekhu descriptor assigned to fluidic worlds.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Aes Torrgur is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Aes Torrgur has an Exotic Atmosphere and possesses an unusual gas mix which requires the use of oxygen tanks. Additionally, protective suits, while not necessary, are recommended. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Aes Torrgur has 45-55% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice heavily tainted with other substances, which makes it dangerous, corrosive, or toxic. Wilderness refueling will be difficult. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds may be Hell Worlds.

  • The water on the surface may be unsuitable for use or consumption without extensive filtering and purification.
  • Refining for fuel may cause issues with shipboard purification plants.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Aes Torrgur declares itself to be a member of the Society of Equals, a Vargr polity in Gvurrdon Sector. It shares many of that state's broad political and ethical views.

It is part of the Dokh Cluster, an important local astrographic feature and trade route.

  • Worlds lying within the Cluster are highlighted in tan.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Aes Torrgur has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

  • The world is host to a Vargr Naval Base.
  • Vargr starports reflect the variety of Vargr architecture, with many disparate styles of building, each having their own unique ornamentation and gaudy colour scheme, and all competing for the attention of the onlooker. Emblems for the major shipping lines and port facilities abound.

World Population (P)[edit]

Aes Torrgur has a population of 50,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).

  • The population entirely consists of Vargr.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Aes Torrgur possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Aes Torrgur is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is by representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referenda, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.

The interstellar government that encompasses this world is ruled by a tight elite. The Vargr population is divided between Equals and Non-Equals; only a Vargr that has been rated Equal may take a ruling position in the government.

World Law (L)[edit]

Aes Torrgur has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: 2 (ordinary)

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: A (abundant)
  • Labor: 6 (millions)
  • Infrastructure: C (very extensive)
  • Efficiency: +2 (good)

The Society of Equals is primarily built on free trade between member worlds, which are encouraged to foster trade relations with one another. With the exception of locally determined contraband, embargos between member worlds are forbidden. Refusing trade of legal goods from another member imposes fines.

World Culture[edit]

  • Heterogenity: 7 (discordant)
  • Acceptance: 9 (friendly)
  • Strangeness: 5 (distinct)
  • Symbols: B (abstract)
