Galigun has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. This atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds, which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Galigun has 25-35% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants will be recycled.

Galigun was claimed by the Vilani millennia ago and was eventually absorbed into the Ziru Sirka. It was nominally under the authority of the Rule of Man prior to the Long Night.

• It has ruins and remains on its surface dating to before the founding of the Ziru Sirka.

Galigun has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. • -3810: the Vargr discover jump technology and begin an era of expansion.
• -3700s onwards: waves of Vargr settle worlds across the region.
• -2204 to -1776: the Rule of Man nominally administers the rimward worlds of the region. Conflicts escalate between Vargr and humans as the Vargr occupy former Ziru Sirka territory.
• -1776 to 0: the Long Night. There is widespread regression within the area and some worlds become barren.
• -1658: the Sack of Gashikan, an atrocity known throughout the coreward parts of Charted Space.
• -1427: the Wolvesbane plague is released in Gashikan Sector, decimating Vargr populations.
• The Year 0: to rimward, the Third Imperium is founded.
• circa 26: the Empire of Varroerth is founded.
