Subsector L of the Hinterworlds Sector.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

Part of the subsector -- the coreward-trailing region -- is claimed by the Gniivi Collective. The other local powers are the human pocket culture of six systems clustered around Benankas (on the subsector border with Silver Laurel Subsector) and the high population planet of Iaasiv, which has been building ties with the Hive Federation in hopes of modernising its woefully unimpressive port facilities.

Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]

Sontra, subsector L of Hinterworlds, contains 27 worlds with an estimated combined population of 60 billion, a per capita income of Cr4,067, and a total economy of BCr246,530. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr17 through 25 starports (10 Class A, 6 Class B, 3 Class C, 6 Class D) employing 2,120 people. Driving this interstellar trade are three Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, three Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Sontra maintain three Military bases and one Naval base. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 5 and 11). The highest technology level is 13 at Reeta Yuonn (Hinterworlds 2623) and Elyxis (Hinterworlds 3224).

Sontra, subsector L of Hinterworlds, contains 44 stars and 289 identified planets; 12 monostellar systems, 13 binary systems, two trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 21 of the 27 systems (77%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, one Poor (Po) world, six Vacuum (Va) worlds, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Sontra has an estimated population of 60 billion distributed across one High population (Hi) world, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 13 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, seven Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Iaasiv (Hinterworlds 2829). The population consists primarily of 2 sophont groups including one native sophont.

Non-Aligned, Human-dominated[edit]

There are 18 Non-Aligned Human-dominated worlds in Sontra with an estimated combined population of 60 billion.

Gniivi Collective[edit]

The Gniivi Collective has jurisdiction over nine worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 430 million, a per capita income of Cr672, and a total economy of BCr289. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr1 through 8 starports (3 Class A, 1 Class B, 1 Class C, 3 Class D) employing 190 people. Driving this interstellar trade are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in the Gniivi Collective maintain one Naval base and one Military base within the subsector. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 5 and 11). The highest technology level is 12 at Pru-goomh (Hinterworlds 3221) and Pru-pasch (Hinterworlds 3223).

The Gniivi Collective has an estimated population of 430 million within the subsector, distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, four Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, two Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Pru-mavin (Hinterworlds 2924) and Ghi-koord'l (Hinterworlds 3222). The population consists of 1 sophont group, a native sophont.
