Atsah Cluster

The Atsah Cluster is an astrographic feature primarily located in Corridor and Deneb Sectors.

Description (Specifications)

This cluster stretches from Wal-ta-ka (Deneb 2713) in Atsah Subsector (the Spinward end) to Mowanda (Corridor 0709) in Ian Subsector (the Trailing end). It has branches to Synez giving J2 access to the Khouth Cluster, and to Olokono (Deneb 3110) giving J2 access to the Million Trace.

From Doho (Deneb 2813) there is a jump-bridge to Dophkah (Deneb 2715) ultimately allowing J1 access into the Dunmag Subsector.

It is also known as the Kiran Cluster by inhabitants of Corridor Sector.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Spinward end of the cluster was controlled by the Atsak Federation when that government was first contacted by the Third Imperium. It was in use by the Imperium by the year 100 as part of the jump-link to the Spinward Marches Sector. The entire cluster was controlled by the Third Imperium by 210 -- though it was never fully owned.

Lurent planetoid ships are found in the Cluster, trading or in transit.

Era: Rebellion

The Trailing end of the cluster was quickly partitioned between the Dzarrgh Federate and Irrgh Manifest after the corridor fleet was withdrawn in 1117 and saw much fighting as the Regency tried to stabilise its borders. This was never the highest priority for troops and fleets, and the Duke of Atsah felt somewhat alone even before the coming of the Virus was announced.

Era: Hard Times

The Abandonment saw the Regency disassociate itself from the cluster, although the population were not evacuated, and Corfinium's garrison never fell.
