Native Sophont (NIL): Grkaadudgaagii

In -4100 the Vilani made contact with a minor alien race native to Grkaan Loc, the Grkaadudgaagii, a xenophobic methane-based species. Their balkanised early atomic era civilization adjusted poorly to the shock of first contact and destroyed itself in a nuclear spasm. The scandal induced Sharurshid to halt further exploitation of the sector.

History & Background (Dossier)

This world is governed by the Grkaan Loc Institute for Xenological Studies, a highly politicized Solomani Party-controlled institution devoted to studying and exploiting the world's two most important features: native methane-based organic products and the ruins of its alien TL-8 civilization.

World Starport

Grkaan Loc has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
