Dushegadaar does not meet the criteria for any standard classification.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Rom's Loch Subsector of Yiklerzdanzh Sector.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
- This world is host to an independent Way Station.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Dushegadaar has a solitary primary star.
- It is a red main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been partially surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- An unknown number of secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 planetoid belt.
- x6 gas giants.
All of the gas giants in the system are tiny, with diameters barely exceeding 20,000 km.
- They all orbit in the outer system.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Dushegadaar orbits within the prime region of its star's habitable zone.
- It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.
It has a very slow rotation period: one local day is equivalent to 10.4 standard days (approximately 250 standard hours).
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Dushegadaar is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Dushegadaar has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- On average, the world experiences moderate temperatures.
- Temperatures climb to high levels during the 125 hours of daylight.
- Temperatures fall to low levels during the 125 hours of night.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Dushegadaar has 85-95% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few small continents, and a number of islands and archipelagos. Dry land is limited. Wilderness refueling is possible.
- During the world's 125 hour long night, pack ice can form on the surface of the oceans.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
- Most native land lifeforms hibernate during the long cold local night.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Unlike the other local shipbuilding worlds of Duneed and Kusiahatai, Dushegadaar rarely produces two ships from the same set of blueprints. Some popular models are however consistently constructed with extensive customisation. A majority of the ships constructed here aren't registered in the subsector; it has been noted that a number of captured and defeated corsair and pirate ships bore the mark of being constructed on Dushegadaar.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Dushegadaar has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- The world is host to an independent Way Station.
World Population (P)[edit]
Dushegadaar has a population of 70,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
- The population are primarily of Vilani heritage.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
A dialect of Vilani is widely spoken.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Dushegadaar possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-2.
World Government (G)[edit]
Dushegadaar is governed by an Impersonal Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy dictates government policy and its execution. Government leadership is reduced to little more than figureheads and does not select the bureaucracy leadership or its members.
World Law (L)[edit]
Dushegadaar has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Culture[edit]
The world lies within the Zhodani Shadow, a region strongly influenced by the society and culture of the Zhodani Consulate.
