Dime is an agricultural, nonindustrial, garden world with a near-ideal, utopian environment conducive to most sophonts.

  • As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
  • It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
  • Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to moderately rise in the near future.
  • This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
  • It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Cruxway Subsector of Daibei Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
  • About 90% of the population is composed of Evantha.
  • About 10% of the population is composed of baseline humans and other non-human sophonts.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Dime is a balkanized world. Some of its nations support the Spiral Path party, and so are loyal to Shirani Kay, the charismatic Maia (dictator) of the Temeraire nation of Detrans, but others do not.

Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]

Dime, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of two members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.

World Starport (Sp)[edit]

This world has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

This world has a population of 100,000 sophonts (hundreds of thousands).

World Demographics[edit]

Languages[edit]

World Government (G)[edit]

This world has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.

Much like the Evantha homeworld, there are multiple nations (the population is relatively small, but as flying carnivores Evantha are given to distributed territories). Unlike the homeworld, not all of these governments have accepted the Spiral Path party.

Few formalized procedures exist in Evantha society. Bureaucracy is alien to their culture; record-keeping is a necessary evil, but evil nonetheless.

World Law Level (L)[edit]

This world has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A few worlds with this law level may be a Red Zone and others will be an Amber Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors).

World Technology Level (TL)[edit]

This world possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Military[edit]

This world has a Battalion Equivalent figure of 1.

  • This equates to approximately 500 sophonts under arms in an active or reserve capacity.

World Economy (Ex)[edit]

The world's economic measurements are: ( A 4 6 +4 )

Trade Data[edit]

Trade Classifications for this world:

Trade Lines with other worlds:

Evantha equipment is beautifully made and unlikely to break but costs at least 50% more than equivalent Human items; the result of Evanthan preference for individuality and style at the cost of standardization.

World Culture (Cx)[edit]

The world's cultural characteristics are: [ 7 7 7 D ]

Evantha young are very dependent on their parents. Children accompany parents as much as possible, at home and during work. When they become adults, most find a substitute family by devoting themselves to a cause larger than themselves, not so much on its own merits as to give direction to their lives.

Urbanization[edit]

Most Evantha towns feature a cluster of slender, tall buildings surrounded by industrial centres, air and space ports, or hunting parks. Individual buildings are open and airy, with spacious rooms, balconies, and skylights. Shops and markets are open-air.

World Infrastructure[edit]

This world possesses limited infrastructure.
