History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Berkshire is a member of the Gomi Arm region of the Liasdi Main, an important trade route crossing between Ilelish Sector and Zarushagar Sector.
The world was a part of Darmine Space, a region that survived both the collapse of the Rule of Man and the Long Night largely due to the efforts of the Darmine, who under the aegis of the Darmine Corporate continued to conduct trade and commerce, maintained a degree of law and order, and helped defend against threats. It was not a state, rather a broad area in which the Darmine and others were active: the populations of most of its worlds were of Vilani or Terran descent, with few native Darmine ever being present. Despite this, it is regarded as a Darmine "Golden Age" and most worlds are proud of their association with it. The Darmine Space region was absorbed by the expanding Third Imperium following the Ilelish Pacification Campaign.
It is a major regional headquarters of the Merchant's Alliance of Ueah, a trade organization that is active along the Main
