Ahbrazz is an agricultural, nonindustrial, pre-rich world with a growing agro-economy, but still lacks an adequate population to expand its economy to a rich status.

  • As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
  • It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
  • This world has promising economic future although it needs to recruit a larger labor force in order to achieve the desired prosperity.
  • It is a member of the Hhkar Sphere in the Hikaru Subsector of Amdukan Sector.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

This world is located in the Hhkar Sphere within the Julian Protectorate.

There is a community of Droyne inhabiting Ahbrazz, but the Hhkar insist upon leaving them alone. They also forbid contact between the Droyne and offworlders.

World Starport (Sp)[edit]

Ahbrazz has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

400,000 inhabitants

World Demographics[edit]

World Government (G)[edit]

Ahbrazz is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. The bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucracy or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence like the military.

World Law Level (L)[edit]

Ahbrazz has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (outside private residences or visiting starships)..

World Technology Level (TL)[edit]

Ahbrazz possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Culture[edit]

Hhkar society is centered on the ssaaahk, a group of Hhkar with common physical characteristics. Every Hhkar places the needs of his ssaaahk above his own, and obeys without question the orders from the ssaaahk patriarch. Conflict between groups is common, but the interstellar Hhkar government imposes rules and limits on such feuding.

World Timeline[edit]

Major events that have affected this world and the wider region that it lies within:

  • -50,000: For reasons unknown, the Hhkar leave their homeworld using ramscoop-equipped vessels and colonize Skkyhrk (which will be known to Vargr as Urinir) and other nearby planets.
  • -10,000: Again for unknown reasons, Hhkar migrate away from Skkyhrk.
  • -222: The Hhkar return to the region in a great migration, attacking the Vargr society present on Urinir.
    • Over the next 500 years, the Hhkar expand their sphere of occupied worlds.
  • (175 to 191): Julian War; the region unites to fight off the Third Imperium as it attempts to incorporate Amdukan, Mendan and Meshan sectors by force.
  • 377: Commodore David Lindquist of the Julian Protectorate Star Legion almost defeats a Hhkar force at Kargar. The Hhkar are so impressed by Lindquist's tenacity and cleverness that he is given an honorable execution, and the Hhkar withdraw from the system in spite of their victory.
  • Early 600s: After centuries of increasingly common peaceful (if wary) interaction, the Hhkar Sphere joins the Julian Protectorate.
