Subsector A of the Hinterworlds Sector.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Here the Imperium must contend with the troublesome Ral Ranta.
Almost all of the Ral Ranta Empire consists of clans or tribes of closely related families. Other government structures exist, but the underlying political power resides with the larger and more powerful clans. Any system in the Empire might have one or more dominant clans running it. How they choose to do so varies, and this is reflected in the different government classifications given by the IISS. When in a Ral Ranta system, though, knowing what clan(s) run things is more important than knowing what sort of government is present.
The Adar Subsector is defended by 224th Fleet.
Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]
Adar, subsector A of Hinterworlds contains 24 worlds with an estimated population of 482 million, a per capita income of Cr1,537, and a total economy is BCr741. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr154 through 19 starports (5 Class A, 5 Class B, 6 Class C, 3 Class D) employing 30,485 people. Driving this interstellar trade are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, three Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, three Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Adar maintain five Military bases, and four Naval bases. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 6 and 10). The highest technology level is 13 at Deymun Na (Hinterworlds 0210) and Boilingbrook (Hinterworlds 0801).
Adar, subsector A of Hinterworlds contains 36 stars and 281 identified planets; 13 monostellar systems, ten binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 21 of the 24 systems (87%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, no Desert (De) worlds, no Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, three Poor (Po) worlds, five Vacuum (Va) worlds, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Adar has an estimated population of 482 million distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, one Moderate population (Ph) world, 15 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, five Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Luggi (Hinterworlds 0605). The population consists of 1 sophont groups.

Ral Ranta[edit]
The Ral Ranta has jurisdiction over 11 worlds with an estimated population of 300 million, a per capita income of Cr893, and a total economy is BCr268. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr11 through 10 starports (1 Class A, 3 Class B, 3 Class C, 3 Class D) employing 4,510 people. Driving this interstellar trade are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Ral Ranta maintain four Military bases, and three Naval bases. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 5 and 10). The highest technology level is 13 at Deymun Na (Hinterworlds 0210).
The Ral Ranta has an estimated population of 300 million distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, one Moderate population (Ph) world, six Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, four Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Luggi (Hinterworlds 0605). The population consists of 1 sophont groups.
Non-Aligned, Human-dominated[edit]
There are 11 Non-Aligned Human-dominated worlds in Adar with an estimated population of 179 million.
Third Imperium, Domain of Gateway[edit]
The Third Imperium, Domain of Gateway has jurisdiction over two worlds with an estimated population of 3 million, a per capita income of Cr2,666, and a total economy is BCr8. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr20 through 2 starports (1 Class A, 1 Class B, 0 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 2,935 people. Driving this interstellar trade are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds.
The Third Imperium, Domain of Gateway has an estimated population of 3 million distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, two Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, no Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The current Ral Ranta Empire is the remnant of what was once a much more powerful state. When the Imperium recontacted the Ral Ranta after the Long Night, the two engaged in low level hostilities for decades. The Ral Ranta, lacking both technology and manpower, turned to guerrilla warfare and intrigue to maintain their independence. In the centuries that followed, the Ral Ranta Empire became a collection of “clans” under central leadership from Berange. The Imperium and Solomani see little value in invading and occupying Ral Ranta space, knowing they would face an endless guerrilla campaign of resistance. Instead, both now use the Ral Ranta to carry out black ops and intrigues against their enemies.
