Subsector L of Fornast Sector.

Nareshakir Subsector is a backwater region almost totally inaccessible to ships with less than Jump-2 capability. Traffic is further reduced due to the lack of major traffic patterns to feed the area from the adjacent portion of Ley Sector.

  • The few worlds here that are on the Dikhari and Derri mains see little traffic in comparison to the other worlds on those mains due to their fringe locations, the lack of other nearby destinations, and their general undesirability as destinations in their own right (the Derri Main terminates in a Red Zone and an Amber Zone, with no starport better than C; the Dikhari Main has only one world with a starport of A, and two worlds with B starports).
  • Most of the limited Jump-2 traffic here runs between the Dikhari Main at Ziamud and the Happin Belt (world), a rich source of radioactives and, surprisingly, gem-quality precious and semi-precious stones.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The Nareshakir Subsector is defended by 254th Fleet.

Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]

Nareshakir, subsector L of Fornast, contains 23 worlds with an estimated combined population of 42 billion, a per capita income of Cr8,255, and a total economy of BCr346,768. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr1,239 through 17 starports (3 Class A, 4 Class B, 8 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 243,080 people. Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, three Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Nareshakir maintain one Way station and one Scout base. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 5 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Happin Belt (Fornast 2730) and Geatan (Fornast 2821).

Nareshakir, subsector L of Fornast, contains 33 stars and 244 identified planets; 13 monostellar systems, ten binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 16 of the 23 systems (69%) have native gas giants. There are two Asteroid (As) belts, two Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, two Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, five Poor (Po) worlds, four Vacuum (Va) worlds, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Nareshakir has an estimated population of 42 billion distributed across two High population (Hi) worlds, three Moderate population (Ph) worlds, ten Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, six Low population (Lo) worlds, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population worlds are Welland (Fornast 2621) and Happin Belt (Fornast 2730). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.
