Tantalus is a poor, low-population hellworld with a population less than 10,000 sophonts struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes even hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants. Survivors often develop intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Nareshakir Subsector of Fornast Sector in the Domain of Sylea.
