System Data

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data

Mainworld Size (S)

Oudod is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Oudod has an Exotic Atmosphere and possesses an unusual gas mix which requires the use of oxygen tanks, but protective suits not necessary, but are recommended. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Oudod has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. What little water or ice exists is heavily tainted with other substances, which makes it dangerous, corrosive, or toxic. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds.

Mainworld Geography and Topography

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

History & Background (Dossier)

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Oudod is a member of the Last Bridge, a small but important Main lying on the trailing edge of Gzaekfueg Sector.

  • High cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels move among its systems, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between its member worlds.

  • Worlds lying on the Main are highlighted in tan.

World Starport (St)

Oudod has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

World Population (P)

Oudod has a population of 900,000 sophonts (hundreds of thousands).

  • This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
  • The population entirely consists of Yileans.

World Technology Level (T)

Oudod possesses a Technology Level of TL–7.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early video and early satellite communication networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fuel cells, solar energy, and geothermal power sources.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Improved automobiles, hovercraft, and bullet trains.
    • Water: Hydrofoils and early triphibians.
    • Air: Hang gliders and supersonic jets.
    • Space: Deep space probes and interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).

World Government (G)

Oudod is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referendum, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.

As a member of the Gashikan Empire, this world has a Velja. A planet's Velja has veto power over all decisions made by the planetary government relating to space travel, defense, or interactions with other worlds.

World Law (L)

Oudod has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
