Vhodan Subsector is Subsector B of Vland Sector.
- It is Balkanized Space.
- It is located within Charted Space.
Description (Specifications)
Vhodan Subsector is a long settled region, divided between the Imperial Domain of Vland, neutral human worlds, and areas dominated by the Vargr. Originally settled by the Ziru Sirka and then controlled by the Rule of Man, it was partially conquered by the Vargr prior to the Long Night and has remained as a frontier since that time.
- It has been developed and exploited for millennia.
Astrographic Features
The following astrographic features and trade routes can be found within this subsector:
- It is a standard stellar density region.
- The brightest star is the unstable red giant primary of the Jiinasha system.
- Xboat Hubs are located at Vhodan and Maran.
- Most Imperial worlds within the subsector lie on the Vilani Main.
Stellar Distribution
A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Vhodan Subsector.
- The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
- The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map).
Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.
- Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
- Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.
Trade Routes (Economic Astrography
One major trade route dominates the region:
The Vilani Main
The Vilani Main, the mighty trade artery of the Ziru Sirka, winds through the rimward half of the subsector.
- High cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels moving along the Main, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between its member worlds.
