Gilet is a poor desert world with no free-standing water.
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Ingo Subsector of Astron Sector.
- This die back world was once settled and developed, but the inhabitants have either died off or left, leaving behind the ruins and remnants of their civilization.
- It is a mainworld which is a satellite of either a gas giant or another world.
- This is a cold world with an overall climate that is at the lower temperature range of human-congruous sophont endurance.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)

System Data
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x6 secondary rocky worlds.
- x5 gas giants.
Mainworld Data
Gilet is a satellite of a gas giant.
Mainworld Size (S)
Gilet is a Small World between 2,400km and 4,000km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.1G and 0.17G. The horizon will appear about 2.5km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
Gilet has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. This atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds, which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- The world has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere.
- Oxygen is produced by photocatalytic conversion of surface materials by stellar energy.
- Fresh surface material is constantly exposed through processes such as seismic activity, volcanism, or erosion.
- The oxygen rapidly depletes from the atmosphere through oxidization with surface materials: a rough equilibrium between production and depletion exists.
- The percentage of oxygen in the atmosphere varies according to the density of global cloud cover.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
Gilet has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
- the world has an arid, hostile surface environment.
Mainworld Geography and Topography
No information yet available.
Native Lifeforms
No native life: the world has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere.
History & Background (Dossier)
Gilet is a former colony of the Wuaye.
- It has been abandoned for more than a thousand years.
- Only a few ruins of the former settlements remain.
World Starport (St)
Gilet does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
Facilities
None.
World Technology Level (T)
Gilet has a die back Tech Level of TL–2.
- The world has no functioning technological base.
Salvage
- Remains on this world include worked raw materials, and metals and alloys.
- These may be salvaged.
World Government (G)
Gilet has no government or ruling authority of any kind.
World Military
None.
World Law (L)
Gilet has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.
World Economy
- Resources: 7 (few)
- Labor: 0 (unpopulated)
- Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
- Efficiency: -5 (extremely poor)
Trade Data
- Importance: -3 (very unimportant)
World Demographics (P)
Gilet is unpopulated.
- Rumors persist that a number of Wuaye got left behind when the world was abandoned around the Year 0. If this is indeed the case, these unfortunates would likely have quickly starved or dehydrated in the world's harsh, unforgiving environment.
Urbanization
A few derelict urban centers are surrounded by abandoned satellite communities.
- The ruins are concentrated into a single region.
World Culture
- Homogeneity: 0 (none)
- Acceptance: 0 (none)
- Strangeness: 0 (none)
- Symbols: 0 (none)
World Timeline
- ca -350: The system is explored and settled by the Wuaye.
- ca Year 0: The settlement on Gilet is abandoned.
UWP Listing
- ca Year 0: D220367-8 De Lo Po / Sa Co
