Aerrgu is a pre-agricultural and nonindustrial world lacking adequate development for its economy to become prosperous.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- It is a member of the Empire of Varroerth in the Zarrkoe Subsector of Ngathksirz Sector, which is part of the Vargr Extents.
- It is a chilly tundra world, with a climate of low temperatures.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)
Aerrgu is a quaternary star system.
- The primary is a blue-white main sequence.
- The secondary is an orange main sequence.
- The tertiary is a white main sequence.
- The quaternary is a blue-white main sequence.
System Data
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x11 secondary rocky worlds.
- x3 gas giants.
Mainworld Data
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zone's colder outer H- region.
- It receives lower levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits beyond the star's Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)
Aerrgu is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
Aerrgu has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. While the thin atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- It experiences low temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
Aerrgu has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
- The world's oceans are littered with icebergs and pack ice.
Satellites
Aerrgu does not retain any moons.
Mainworld Geography and Topography
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms
Abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
- Native lifeforms are cryophilic - they thrive in very low temperatures.
History & Background (Dossier)
World Starport (St)
Aerrgu has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)
Aerrgu has a population of 50,000 sophonts (tens of thousands).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
- The population entirely consists of Vargr.
World Technology Level (T)
Aerrgu possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
- Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
- Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)
Aerrgu is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
World Law (L)
Aerrgu has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
