History & Background (Dossier)

Zebylono Subsector is a remote but settled region with a long history of introversion and isolationism.

All except a few of its coreward systems formed part of an ancient Muirimi state called the Pietten Confederation.

The Muirimi were citizens of the Old Earth Union, in the Solomani Rim, during the Long Night. Their culture was centered on the religious belief of Sitaraism: they gained considerable antipathy due to their views on possessions, private ownership, and territorial rights. They fled Terra aboard a number of large starships during the -200s and somehow made it across Charted Space, finally settling in the isolated wildernesses of Iphigenaia Sector and Theron Sector sometime around -100.

The Pietten Confederation was founded around the year 0. It survived almost unchanged for around a millennia before surrendering its independence to form the Regency, in order to better deal with the growing Aslan menace in the region.
