Ammaranza is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and nonindustrial in nature.
- These worldlets warrant hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- The worldlets require extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a member of the Regency of Muirimi in the Zebylono Subsector of Iphigenaia Sector.
- This system is politically controlled by Pietten.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Ammaranza is a binary star system.
- Both are red main sequence stars.
- They are close companions.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x5 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 planetoid belt.
- x5 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Ammaranza is an Asteroid Belt mainworld.
The belt orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zones colder outer H- region.
- It receives lower levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits inside the stars Jump Shadow.
- It is extremely rich in minerals.
- A small thin atmosphere heavily irradiated world orbits within the stars combined habitable zone.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Spellik is an Asteroid Belt consisting of a few very large objects with diameters of hundreds of kilometers, thousands of bodies of a few kilometers in diameter, and millions of smaller objects.
- Asteroid Belt is the belt when it is the mainworld of a system.
- Planetoid Belt refers to any non-mainworld belt within a system.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
None of the bodies within the Spellik belt retain an atmosphere.
- The belt is in vacuum conditions, requiring the use of a Vacc Suit.
- TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
The belt contains a few icy bodies. A few belt objects have frozen volatiles on their surfaces.
- Wilderness refueling is possible within the belt, provided a suitable icy object can be found.
- Water for the inhabitants is generally imported and is extensively recycled.
Native Lifeforms[edit]
No native life.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Ammaranza is bustling. There is a considerable amount of in-system activity.
- It is a member world of the Regency of Muirimi.
- It has been settled for centuries.
- The resources of the system are being exploited.
The population are culturally Muirimi.
- The inhabitants can trace their origins back to the central Asian and Indian subcontinent regions of Terra.
- The majority are followers of Sitaraism, a form of star-worship.
- Commercial vessels arrive and depart almost constantly
- Commo is buzzing with chatter and signals.
- Multiple navigation beacons are active.
- Vessels travel between worlds and facilities within the belt and within the system.
Ammaranza was until recently entirely a captive government, administered directly from Pietten and exploited for its extremely rich resources. Within the last few years there has been an armed insurgency, with a number of belt-cities declaring independence from Piettenite control. So far Pietten has tolerated the independence movements, as long as shipments of valuable materials continue to arrive, but it is increasing its military presence in the regions of the belt it still controls.
The world formed part of an ancient Muirimi state called the Pietten Confederation.
- The Confederation practiced a harsh form of Sitaraism that placed many restrictions on its followers.
- The polity was considered belligerent and frequently had disputes with its neighbours, particularly the Republic of Georgia.
- Despite fervent internal protest, the Confederation and its member worlds chose to join the Regency upon its formation.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Ammaranza has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Demographics (P)[edit]
Ammaranza has a population of 700,000.
Urbanization[edit]
Small cities are tunneled into large rocky resource-rich planetoids.
- Outposts and facilities exist on other rocky bodies.
- Structures and facilities are sealed.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Ammaranza possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-3.
World Government (G)[edit]
Ammaranza has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
World Military[edit]
- No information yet available.
World Law (L)[edit]
Ammaranza has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A few worlds with this law level may be a Red Zone and others will be an Amber Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors).
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: G (extremely abundant)
- Labor: 4 (tens of thousands)
- Infrastructure: 7 (generally available)
- Efficiency: +4 (advanced)
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: 1 (ordinary)
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 4 (harmonious)
- Acceptance: 6 (aloof)
- Strangeness: 6 (very distinct)
- Symbols: D (very abstract)
