Sebastien is a rich water world with its surface 90% or more covered in an ocean of water.
- The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
- This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
- This world has high-grade living conditions with a good climate and a non-harmful environment. As such, this world is much sought after with large queues for immigration here.
- Most observers think that the planet's economy and population will prosper in the near future barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the Regency of Muirimi in the Zebylono Subsector of Iphigenaia Sector.
- It is a balmy tropical world, with a climate of high temperatures.
- This world-system hosts a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
- This world has an exploration base, which is similar to an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling explorer personnel and exploratory starships.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Sebastien has a solitary primary star.
- It is a yellow-white main sequence.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x6 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 gas giant.
Mainworld Data[edit]
The mainworld orbits within the stars habitable zone.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Sebastien is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Sebastien has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Sebastien has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.
Satellites:[edit]
No information yet available.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant aquatic native life. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Sebastien is bustling. There is a considerable amount of in-system activity.
- It is a member world of the Regency of Muirimi.
- It has been settled for centuries.
- The resources of the system are being exploited.
The population are culturally Muirimi.
- The inhabitants can trace their origins back to the central Asian and Indian subcontinent regions of Terra.
- The majority are followers of Sitaraism, a form of star-worship.
- Commercial vessels arrive and depart almost constantly
- Commo is buzzing with chatter and signals.
- Multiple navigation beacons are active.
- Vessels travel between worlds and facilities within the system.
- Naval and exploratory vessels may be active in the system.
The world formed part of an ancient Muirimi state called the Pietten Confederation.
- The Confederation practiced a harsh form of Sitaraism that placed many restrictions on its followers.
- The polity was considered belligerent and frequently had disputes with its neighbours, particularly the Republic of Georgia.
- Despite fervent internal protest, the Confederation and its member worlds chose to join the Regency upon its formation.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Sebastien has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Demographics (P)[edit]
Sebastien has a population of 60 million.
Urbanization[edit]
A few large urban centers, located on larger islands, are surrounded by smaller satellite communities.
- Inhabited areas are dotted across the world.
- Much of the surface of the world remains as wilderness.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Sebastien possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
- Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
- Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Sebastien is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. The bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucracy or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence like the military.
World Military[edit]
Approximately 250,000 personnel.
World Law (L)[edit]
Sebastien has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
