Far Frontiers Polities

The Zelphic Primacy is the oldest extant state in Far Frontiers Sector, having been formed circa 50, when Zelpha colonized Primus. It continued founding colonies on other surrounding worlds until it reached its current size circa 400. It has remained staunchly pro-Zhodani throughout that time, despite Imperial-backed efforts to destabilize the state and at least one attempt to engineer a coup.

As recently as 1050, the Primacy clashed with the Biumvirate over the planets Gosspach and Hollader. After increasing evidence showed the possibility of a Primacy attack on these neutral worlds, the Biumvirate sent a naval squadron to each one, leading to a major battle at Gosspach with considerable losses on both sides. It is now believed that this evidence was fabricated, part of an elaborate plot to draw the Primacy into a conflict against multiple foes.

Government & Politics (Leadership)[edit]

No information yet available.

Goals[edit]

  • Regional stability (with a generally pro-Zhodani stance).
  • Maintenance of trade and commerce with the Zhodani Consulate.
  • Protection from expansionist or aggressive neighbors.

Interstellar Relations[edit]

Relations with the other pro-Zhodani states... are cordial. However, with the exception of the Haladon Cooperative (due to its aggressive mercantile policies) the Primacy has no contact or diplomatic missions with any pro-Imperial government in the region.

Military & Intelligence[edit]

Despite political maneuvering by the Imperium, the Primacy has retained control of four of its neighboring systems since the 5th century. These worlds were colonized from Zelpha with Zhodani assistance and named in the order that they were settled. With continuing aid from the Consulate it seems unlikely that the Imperium or any of the neighboring pro-Imperial states will effect a change of government in the near future.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

An extremely pro-Zhodani state in the Cabala Subsector. The Zelphics are humans of Solomani/Vilani stock who have taken on the Zhodani society as their own...

Zelpha, the capital of the Primacy, has trade agreements with the Consulate effective from before the founding of the Imperium. As the Primacy expanded, those same agreements were extended to other member worlds. This ongoing commerce and support has given the Zelphics a high standard of living and has generated a great deal of goodwill towards the Zhodani and the Consulate.
