Yeshura is a high-population, industrial world with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
- Its economy is rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to rapidly improve barring outside forces.
- It is a member world of the Sorority of Hygiea located in the Galaxa Subsector of Mavuzog Sector.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or above the standard for Charted Space.
- This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Yeshura has a solitary primary star.
- It is an orange main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x5 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 planetoid belt.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Yeshura orbits within the habitable zone.
- It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Yeshura is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Yeshura has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. While a Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Yeshura has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Yeshura is host to a vast orbital graveyard, in the form of radioactive wreckage from a series of pitched battles.
The Korsumug Empire has launched several assaults against this world and has successfully landed troops on several occasions. At first the Sisters would always hastily remove all battle debris, as it posed a navigational hazard to commercial shipping. Eventually the scale, ferocity and frequency of the battles precluded orderly salvage and reclamation efforts keeping pace. In time, it was decided to emplace hidden defensive measures among the drifting hulks: camouflaged weapons platforms lurk amid the broken hulls and scattered fragments of the invader fleets. Defenders use clever decoys and automated captor mines to make planetary approach ill-advised.
Curiously, these staggering losses do not seem to dissuade Jaibok warriors. The efficient and ongoing salvage of hull metal, fusion drives, electronics and weapons has permitted the defenders to maintain higher than normal ship building rates and serve as a partial offset to more conventional resource procurement. These efforts help to make the Sister's fleet operations much more economically feasible. This reality is morale draining and an oft-lamented topic among the war-weary spacehands, soldiers, and marines. The Sorority of Hygiea leadership has yet to make substantial diplomatic progress with their savagely aggressive and implacable foes, for whom life (or material) seems to hold so little value.
Elements of the Korsumug Glorious Triumph Fleet regularly conduct strikes and raids against the system.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Yeshura has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- The world is host to a Naval Base.
World Population (P)[edit]
Yeshura has a population of 8,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
Urbanization[edit]
The Sorority of Hygiea rule their domain from vast private estates located on each member world. These estates all have a central fortress called a Hall, as well as outlying facilities including one or more private spaceports. Each Hall is built in an isolated area, in a defensible position, far from the local population.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Yeshura possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-3.
World Government (G)[edit]
Yeshura has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
As members of the Sorority of Hygiea, these governments pay tax to the polity leadership at Fal Zaria.
World Law (L)[edit]
Yeshura has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
